Day 1: Hanoi – Lang Son – Quang Uyen [L/D]
7:30 – 8:00| Your adventure begins with pick-up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. We head northeast on a scenic drive toward Lang Son, near the Chinese border.
– Visit Mạc Citadel, a 16th-century fortress offering panoramic mountain views.
– Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Đồng Đăng.
– Explore Đông Khê Battle Site (1950) – a landmark of the First Indochina War.
– Overnight at a traditional Nùng ethnic homestay, including a family-style dinner.
👉 Highlights: Mac Citadel, Dong Khe battlefield, ethnic villages, light trekking (3–5 km).
Day 2: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be National Park [B/L/D]
After breakfast, we travel to Trung Khanh and visit Phuoc Sen Village, famous for traditional blacksmithing.
– Marvel at the Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the largest transnational waterfalls in the world, shared by Vietnam & China.
– Explore Nguom Ngao Cave, with stunning stalactites and stalagmites.
– Transfer via the scenic “Snake Pass” to Ba Be Lake.
– Overnight at a Tay ethnic homestay in Ba Be National Park.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi [B/L]
Morning boat ride across Ba Be Lake followed by rainforest trekking in Ba Be National Park.
– Visit a prehistoric cave (500 million years old).
– Discover An Ma Temple, a sacred Tay temple dedicated to the Snake God.
– Optional: Swimming, relaxing on the boat, or visiting Widow Island.
– Lunch at Ba Be Jungle Houses before returning to Hanoi (~6:00 pm arrival).
– Stop en route at a tea plantation nestled in rolling hills.
