Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Thung Khe Pass – Mai Chau Valley (Lunch, Dinner)
07:00 – 07:30: Hotel pickup in Hanoi Old Quarter.
(If traffic conditions restrict access, you may be asked to move to a nearby convenient meeting point.)
Depart for Mai Chau via scenic mountain roads. Along the way, admire the peaceful landscapes where Muong and Thai ethnic communities live between valleys and limestone mountains.
10:50 – 11:30: Stop at Thung Khe Pass to enjoy panoramic views of Mai Chau Valley. Visit the small local market at the pass, where Muong people sell traditional products.
12:00: Enjoy a local lunch in Mai Chau (vegetarian options available).
14:30: Guided bicycle ride through villages. Observe farmers working in rice fields, local artisans weaving scarves, and daily rural life.
17:00: Free time for walking, cycling, or shopping for handmade souvenirs.
19:00: Traditional dinner featuring authentic Thai ethnic cuisine.
For groups of more than 5 guests, enjoy a traditional Thai dance performance and taste “ruou can” (local rice wine).
Overnight at a local homestay in Mai Chau.
Day 2: Mai Chau Villages – Trekking – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
07:30: Breakfast at the homestay.
08:30: Cycle approximately 2 km with a local Thai guide before starting a light trek to remote villages including Na Meo, Na Mo, and Xam Pa. Explore rice terraces and gain deeper insight into local customs, traditions, and rural life.
12:00: Return to the homestay, check out, and enjoy lunch.
13:00: Free time for relaxation or shopping.
15:30: Depart for Hanoi by van/bus.
19:00: Arrival in Hanoi Old Quarter. Drop-off at your hotel.
