Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Thung Khe Pass – Mai Chau Valley (Lunch, Dinner)
07:00 – 07:30: Hotel pickup in Hanoi Old Quarter.
(If traffic conditions prevent direct pickup, a nearby meeting point will be arranged.)
Depart for Mai Chau via scenic mountain roads. Along the way, admire the rural landscapes where Muong and Thai ethnic communities live harmoniously between valleys and mountains.
10:50 – 11:30: Stop at Thung Khe Pass to enjoy panoramic views of Mai Chau Valley. Visit the small roadside market where Muong locals sell handmade products and fresh produce.
12:00: Lunch in Mai Chau (vegetarian options available).
14:30: Guided bicycle ride through peaceful villages. Observe farmers working in rice fields, locals weaving traditional scarves, and daily rural life.
17:00: Free time for walking, cycling, or shopping for handicrafts.
19:00: Traditional dinner featuring authentic Thai cuisine.
For groups of more than 5 guests, enjoy a traditional Thai dance performance and taste “ruou can” (local rice wine).
Overnight at a local homestay in Mai Chau.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Pu Luong Nature Reserve – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
07:30: Breakfast at the homestay.
08:30: Transfer approximately 35 km to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Along the way, stop briefly to observe local chopstick-making workshops and take photos of rural life.
12:00: Arrival at Pu Luong. Short rest before beginning a light trek through scenic mountain trails and terraced rice fields. Explore traditional villages and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this protected nature area.
13:00: Return to Mai Chau for lunch in a local village restaurant.
15:00: Depart for Hanoi by van/bus.
19:00: Arrival in Hanoi Old Quarter. Drop-off at your hotel.
