Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Thung Khe Pass – Mai Chau Valley (Lunch, Dinner)
07:00 – 07:30: Hotel pickup in Hanoi Old Quarter.
(Alternative meeting point may be arranged if direct access is not possible.)
Depart for Mai Chau via scenic mountain roads. Along the way, admire the daily life of Muong and Thai ethnic communities living between valleys and mountains.
10:50 – 11:30: Stop at Thung Khe Pass to enjoy panoramic views of Mai Chau Valley. Visit the small local market where Muong people sell handmade products and fresh goods.
12:00: Lunch in Mai Chau (vegetarian options available).
14:30: Guided bicycle ride through peaceful villages. Observe farmers working in rice fields and locals weaving traditional scarves.
17:00: Free time for walking, cycling, or shopping.
19:00: Traditional dinner featuring authentic Thai cuisine.
For groups of more than five guests, enjoy a traditional Thai dance performance and taste “ruou can” (local rice wine).
Overnight at a homestay in Mai Chau.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
07:30: Breakfast at the homestay.
08:30: Transfer approximately 35 km to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. En route, stop to observe local chopstick-making workshops and rural landscapes.
12:00: Arrival at Pu Luong. Short rest before beginning a light trek through scenic mountain trails and terraced rice fields.
13:00: Lunch in a local village, followed by relaxation before continuing trekking to explore more of the reserve’s natural beauty.
Return to Mai Chau in the afternoon.
15:00: Free time to relax or explore at your own pace.
19:00: Dinner and overnight in Mai Chau.
Day 3: Remote Villages Trekking – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
07:30: Breakfast at the homestay.
08:30: Cycle approximately 2 km with a local Thai guide before starting a trek to more remote villages including Na Meo, Na Mo, and Xam Pa. Explore rice terraces and gain deeper insight into local traditions and rural life.
12:00: Return to the homestay, check out, and enjoy lunch.
13:00: Free time for shopping or relaxing.
15:30: Depart for Hanoi.
19:00: Arrival in Hanoi Old Quarter. Drop-off at your hotel.
